What makes private lessons different

Every voice is shaped by a unique combination of body, habit, history, and intention. Private lessons give us the space to work with all of it.

At Singintuit, private voice lessons aren't just about technique — they're about building a relationship with your voice that feels grounded, sustainable, and real. Each session is fully tailored to where you are and where you want to go.

There's no group pacing to follow. No curriculum to keep up with. Just focused, one-on-one attention from a teacher trained in the Singintuit Method — an approach that integrates vocal science with emotional awareness and embodied listening.

What a typical lesson looks like

1

Check-in

We start with a brief conversation — how your voice has felt since the last session, what's come up, what you want to work on today.

2

Warm-up & technique

Targeted vocal exercises designed for your voice — building coordination, range, resonance, and awareness.

3

Application

We apply technique to music — a song you're working on, an audition piece, or material chosen to stretch a specific skill.

4

Reflection & next steps

We close with clear takeaways — what to practice, what to notice, and what we'll build on next time.

Who takes private lessons?

Singers at every stage. Here's who we typically work with.

Complete beginners

You've never taken a voice lesson and want a safe, supportive place to start.

Returning singers

You sang before — maybe years ago — and want to reconnect with your voice.

Working performers

You have gigs, auditions, or recordings and need focused coaching on demand.

Singers in transition

Your voice has changed — from age, disuse, or life — and you want to understand it again.

Young vocalists

Kids and teens building healthy technique and confidence from the start.

Artists seeking depth

You sing well but want more — more expression, more control, more connection to what you're saying.

In-person or online — your choice

Private lessons are available in our Manhattan studio or over Zoom. Many students do a mix of both.

Online lessons are fully personalized and work just as deeply as in-person sessions. All you need is a device with a camera, a microphone, and a stable internet connection.
