Understanding Our Student Archetypes

Not all students show up with the same goals, background, or challenges. We use five core archetypes to guide our tone, pacing, and emotional support. (The students are not limited to these archetypes, but below are the most common types we see in our lead database and studio.)

Purpose of the Archetypes:

To help teachers understand who they’re teaching and how students move through vocal and emotional development with Singintuit. We encourage all types of singers to join us, and in our experience, everybody comes to the lesson with a different goal. These archetypes create the foundation for emotionally attuned, student-centered teaching, which is an essential element of effective teaching and long-term retention.

Please note. You are NOT responsible for lead communication, enrollment, or consultations. However, it is essential that you understand the student’s emotional arc and student journey so you can connect the dots inside your sessions and use aligned language. You will often see the student’s archetype noted in the Consultation Brief or HubSpot Contact Card.

Key Milestones in the Student Journey

A Note on The Consultation Brief:

After a student enrolls, you’ll receive a Consultation Brief that includes:

  • Student’s background and goals

  • Emotional and vocal blocks

  • Archetype + Initial Phase placement

  • Suggested tools, warmups, and game plan

This is your North Star for building trust and choosing tools for the first few lessons!

Re-Engagement & Retention

Student growth isn’t always linear. Some students will take breaks, pause due to life events, or lose momentum. That’s okay—and completely normal.

Important: Teachers are never responsible for sending follow-up or re-engagement messages. All reactivation outreach is handled by the leadership team

The teacher’s responsibility is to:

  • Communicate clearly during lessons about progress and practice

  • Offer emotional closure if a student expresses interest in pausing

  • Celebrate return if a former student re-enrolls

Our team handles:

  • Follow-up messages for lapsed students

  • Custom reactivation offers

  • Special promotions and/or invitations

  • Celebratory welcome-back messages

A note on the Sustain Phase

The ultimate goal of Singintuit is to guide every student toward the Sustain phase—a never-ending journey of living in connection with their voice.

This means that voice becomes a lifelong companion, and that therefore:

  • Lessons can last a lifetime

  • Lessons can pause and renew again

  • Growth never ends
